There are tons of courses out there that make you believe
"just create the perfect profile and 'they' will come" ...
... or adding all kinds of 'expert-status-boosting' vanity plays (like those (mostly BS) 'as seen on CNN'-logos etc.
Turns out: when you do that, you focus on the wrong end of the stick! (and 'they' don't come!)
Attracting & pre-qualifying your dream clients on LinkedIn a classic case of the 80-20 principle:
80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts …
… and having a ‘perfect profile’ is NOT that 20%!
All you need is to get the bare-bones basic profile right, (as long as you get the 20% of your profile right that actually matter) ...
... and you’re good to move onto the 20% that matter:
1) almost everybody is completely overcomplicating this whole ‘LinkedIn’ game.
I have to admit, when I looked at my LinkedIn ‘home-page’, I was overwhelmed …
… at least with Facebook, I know what I need to do:
post something here, comment & share something there.
(or in my case: split-test ads all day long until I get a relevance score of 10 and conversions that pay for themselves ...)
That’s it.
But here with LinkedIn, it seems like there are a bazillion moving parts and things you ‘could’ (or should?) be doing.
80-20 to the rescue again:
Steve uses a streamlined 11-step, 15-minute-a-day-process ...

I did have the barest-of-bare-bones profile (and the bits that were in it, were frankly rubbish) …
