Virtual Real Estate BarCamp: Learn like you’ve never learned before!

Open to a unique learning experience? Consider the upcoming Virtual Real Estate BarCamp (VREBC) on Tuesday, April 6 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The typical BarCamp, similar to an unconference, is an ad hoc gathering that allows those with similar interests to learn in an open environment. Event attendees may volunteer to lead discussions, where the overall event schedule and format of each session is determined by participants.

As the upcoming Real Estate BarCamp is a virtual event, attendance is not limited to those in a particular city. Kudos to Highland Homes of Lakeland, Fl, for successfully leveraging online marketing to sell more homes while slashing their marketing budget in half.

Faced with extensive marketing budget cuts, Highland Homes reinvented themselves online. Their formula: Incorportate blogging, and optimize their social media presence.

The results:

• A 26% increase in overall web traffic
• A 53% increase in internet leads
• An 13% increase in conversion – internet leads converted to contracts

Best of all, Highland Homes wrote an average of 62 contracts in the first two months after implementing the program versus their average of 35 contracts per month prior to the campaign.
